Daniel M. Trifiletti, MD

Radiation Oncologist

As a radiation oncologist with expertise in stereotactic radiosurgery and heavy particle therapy, Dr. Trifiletti’s preclinical and clinical research includes numerous trials involving radiation, neurosurgery, and novel therapies in the treatment of malignant brain and spine tumors. He serves as editor on 4 medical textbooks and authored over 30 chapters, as well as over 200 peer reviewed manuscripts.

Dr. Trifiletti's research goals focus on describing the impact of radiation on the brain tumor vascular and immune microenvironment. Discovering the biological underpinnings of radiation priming allows for novel, "game-changing" cancer therapies, rapid translation to early-stage clinical trials and, ultimately, improved outcomes in patients with fatal diseases.
