Associate Professor Dr. Bogdan Mihai Neamțu combines expertise in pediatrics and medical research with a multidisciplinary background in engineering and advanced biostatistics. He is an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Medicine at Lucian Blaga University of Sibiu and heads the Pediatric Research Department at Sibiu Pediatric Clinical Hospital. He holds doctorates in Medical Sciences and Industrial Engineering, complemented by postgraduate studies at Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health and the University of Louisville. This training supports an approach to children’s health that brings together clinical knowledge, data analysis, and modern technology. His research explores the use of machine learning and artificial intelligence to improve diagnosis in complex pediatric conditions, including childhood diabetes and neurotrauma. Through mathematical modeling of clinical data, Dr. Neamțu contributes to research aimed at developing more precise, personalized approaches to pediatric care. He is a member of Sigma Xi and serves as a reviewer for journals including Scientific Reports and the British Medical Journal. With more than 56 publications and multiple research grants, his work reflects a commitment to medical innovation, clinical practice, and the education of future physicians.
