Maria Fleseriu, MD, FACE is a Professor of Medicine and Neurological Surgery, Director of the Pituitary Center at Oregon Health and Science University in Portland, Oregon, USA member of the Board of Directors of the Endocrine Society and Past President of the Pituitary Society. Dr. Fleseriu has a long-standing clinical and research interest in the pathophysiology and treatment of pituitary and adrenal disorders, has been global principal investigator in many pituitary disorders clinical trials and has authored over 300 publications in prestigious high impact journals, including novel treatments, consensus papers for Cushing’s, acromegaly, hypopituitarism, prolactinomas and pituitary incidentalomas. She has co-authored clinical practice international guidelines and disease state reviews on pituitary topics for the Endocrine Society, the Pituitary Society, the European Society of Endocrinology, Congress of Neurological Surgeons and the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists. She is a frequent plenary guest speaker at national and international meetings and has been Deputy Editor for European Journal of Endocrinology, Associate Editor for Reviews of Endocrinology and Metabolism and a member in many editorial boards, including Pituitary. Dr Fleseriu has received many national and international awards, including title of “Doctor Honors Causa” by the University of Medicine and Pharmacy “Carol Davila”, the Clinical Endocrinology Trust Award from the U.K Society of Endocrinology and has been honored with the Pituitary Society's Lifetime Achievement Award.

Alfredo Quinones-Hinojosa, M.D., is a consultant and serves as chair of the Department of Neurologic Surgery at Mayo Clinic's campus in Florida, and he is recognized with the distinction of a named professorship, the William J. and Charles H. Mayo Professorship. His clinical focus includes: Surgical treatment of primary and metastatic brain tumors with emphasis in motor and speech mapping during surgery Surgical management of Intramedullary Spinal Cord Tumors/lesions with Spine Mapping Pituitary tumors and skull base tumors using transsphenoidal endonasal and minimally invasive approaches Providing personalized medicine to improve patient outcomes In addition to his clinical activities, Dr. Quinones-Hinojosa leads NIH-funded research to find a cure for brain cancer. His cutting-edge research focuses on brain tumors and cell migration, health care disparities and clinical outcomes for neurosurgical patients in which the operating room is used as an extension for his research scenario. He has authored numerous high-impact scientific journal articles, chapters, abstracts and books. Dr. Quinones-Hinojosa also continues to provide mentorship to residents, graduate students and fellows.

Dana M. Harris, M.D., is an assistant professor in the College of Medicine at Mayo Clinic. She is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases. Her interests are in preventive medicine, mechanisms of disease and translation of science to practice. She has several publications and is currently enrolled in the Mayo Graduate School Immunology Master’s Program. She finds great value in the exchange of medical information and is an active lecturer in international medical conferences. Dr. Harris served on the Infection Prevention Committee and as the physician leader of the COVID Community Internal Medicine Clinic. She has found time from her busy practice to give back to the community. In 2019 she received the Community Service Award from Mayo Clinic Florida. Dr. Harris earned a bachelor’s degree in pharmacy from the University of Georgia in Athens, Georgia. She practiced retail and hospital pharmacy at Emory University. She received her MD degree from the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta, Georgia. She completed her internal medicine residency at Mayo Clinic Florida and a specialty in infectious disease. She has been with Mayo Clinic Florida since 2004, except for two years when she worked at St Vincent’s in Jacksonville. Dr. Harris and her husband have two sons. She believes that an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure and she enjoys healthy living and regular exercise in the form of swimming and walking. Her favorite hobby is reading.

Dr. Răzvan Chirilă M.D. is board-certified in Internal Medicine and he joined Mayo Clinic staff in 2012. Dr. Chirila earned his medical degree at the University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Bucharest, Romania. He completed his internal medicine residency and chief residency at William Beaumont Hospital, Royal Oak, Michigan. He serves as a consultant within the Section of Executive Health and International Medicine. Dr. Chirila is an Associate Professor of Medicine at Mayo Clinic College of Medicine. He has a special interest in perioperative medicine, graduate medical education and quality and resource utilization in medicine. He is core faculty of the Internal Medicine Residency, member of the Clinical Competency Committee and he is the recipient of multiple teaching awards. He serves as the Medical Director for Case Management, Utilization Review and Clinical Documentation for Mayo Clinic Florida. Dr. Chirila is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians.

Dr. Wendy Sherman serves as the Division Chair of Neuro-oncology at the Mayo Clinic Florida and is an assistant professor at the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine. She completed her residency in neurology followed by neuro-oncology fellowship at Northwestern University in Chicago. Her specialty areas include primary and secondary brain and spinal cord neoplasms, as well as the neurologic complications of systemic malignancies. Her research interests include the precision medicine approach to low and high grade gliomas, leptomeningeal metastases, and targeted delivery of chemotherapy.

D. Jane Hata, Ph.D., D(ABMM) is the Associate Director of the Clinical Microbiology Laboratories at Mayo Clinic in Florida, and Associate Professor of Laboratory Medicine and Pathology, Mayo Clinic Alix School of Medicine. Her responsibilities include technical oversight of the Parasitology and Molecular Virology Laboratories, including microbiological testing for the Mayo Clinical Laboratories reference service. She is a past member of the Microbiology Resource Committee for the College of American Pathologists, and past Chair of the Committee on Postgraduate Educational Programs for the American Society for Microbiology. Dr. Hata received her Ph.D. from the University of Missouri – Columbia and completed a Fellowship in Clinical Microbiology at the Mayo Clinic, Rochester, Minnesota. Her research interests include diagnosis of fungal infections, development of molecular diagnostic techniques for the clinical laboratory, diagnostic stewardship, and application of artificial intelligence for microscopic image interpretation.

Susan L. Samson, M.D., Ph.D., FRCPC, FACE, is Professor of Medicine and Chair of the Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism. She specializes in Pituitary disorders and is cross appointed to the Department of Neurologic Surgery. Dr. Samson has served as site principal investigator as well as an international steering chair for clinical trials for patients with pituitary disorders including acromegaly and Cushing's disease and is a co-author on consensus documents for the diagnosis and management of pituitary disorders including for acromegaly, growth hormone deficiency, and Cushing's syndrome. She also co-edited and co-authored the book Pituitary Disorders Throughout the Lifecycle (Springer Nature). She is originally from Canada and is a Fellow of the Royal College of Canada in Internal Medicine and Endocrinology. She trained in Endocrinology at Baylor College of Medicine/MD Anderson Cancer Center where she was the Co-director of the Baylor St. Luke's Pituitary Center and the Endocrinology Fellowship Director, having trained more than 60 Endocrinology fellows during her time as Associate Program Director and Program Director. She was awarded the Fulbright and Jaworski L.L.P. Faculty Excellence Award for Teaching and Evaluation, the Rising Star Award, and Woman of Excellence Award during her time at Baylor College of Medicine. She was the 2024 President of the American Association of Clinical Endocrinology and has served on numerous AACE committees including as Chair of Endocrine University (2020) and the AACE Annual Meeting (Los Angeles 2019). Dr. David Sabsevitz is a practicing neuropsychologist and associate professor at Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida. He has a primary appointment in the Department of Psychiatry and Psychology and a joint appointment in the Department of Neurosurgery. He is board certified by the American Board of Professional Psychology in clinical neuropsychology and specializes in the evaluation and treatment of adults with neurological, and neuropsychiatric disorders. His clinical interests involve onco-epilepsy with focus on the pre-surgical evaluation of brain tumor and epilepsy patients, functional brain mapping, and extra- and intraoperative brain mapping to assist surgical planning in these patient populations.
